Reproduction and English adaptation of French nautical and military maps of the English Channel





Selection, full reproduction (with the help of photographer Mathieu Saulnier), color modifications and printing onto carpet,
of over half a dozen original Versailles rugs.

1. Recreation of over 900 m2 of printed Versailles floorboards, based on our own photographs of over a dozen different "squares" taken at the château, which were then modified, adapted, laid out and printed onto 200mg satin paper and glued onto plywood, with a thick varnish finish.
2. Detailed cut-out of Versailles' bannister, modified and adapted to our set, then printed and given volume to create trompe l'oeil bannisters.

Recreation and adaptation of a room made of painted paneling, based on our own photographs of each element, which were heavily modified and adapted to fit our set.
Each composition was printed on 120mg mat paper and plastered onto the wooden panels.

1. Creation of King Louis' diary, from bookbinding to sketching and calligraphy. Here are a few pages from the diary.
2. on the left, you can see me as the King's hand double for over ten calligraphy scenes, for each scripted diary entry.

Creation of mural "trompe l'oeil" for three of our Versailles studio sets, based on our own photographs of existing Versailles ornaments, which were then reproduced by the painters (1) , photographed, and added together, to form motifs and panels adapted to our sets.
We then digitally added painted shadows and matched the background to the crackled finish of the rest of the room's walls (2), and finally printed each composition on 120mg mat paper, to be plastered and varnished (3).
